The HD-1's neck is not fat and cumbersome like many beginner guitars. Hudson have made it modern and accessible with an easy playing action that is ideal for the beginner. Playing action is the amount of effort it takes to fret the string and play a note which is critical for ease of playing. This Hudson is really nice to play, and the dreadnought body size gives the player a wonderful full tone.

The finish and build quality is exceptional at this price point, the HD-1 just oozes quality. If you want to sing and play, or just discover the joy of music, then this is the guitar for you!

A cutaway electro-acoustic guitar with active EQ. The CMJ4CE is a mini
jumbo model with a laminate spruce top and basswood back and sides. The
mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard hold 22 frets with easy access by
virtue of the cutaway. The under-saddle piezo pickup is served by a
top-mounted 9V battery preamp with 4-band EQ. Either acoustically or
plugged into a PA or acoustic amp, this instrument performs admirably.
